About Anvar Saidenov
- Anvar Saidenov (Kazakh: ????? ???????????? ????????, born September 19, 1960) is the chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan. Saidenov was born in Moscow and attended Moscow State University, being graduated in 1982.
- From 1993-1996 he worked at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London, during which time he also earned an MS in Economics and Finance at the University of London.
- He then returned to Kazakhstan, where from 1996-1998 he served as the deputy chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan.
- From 1998-2000 he held economic posts throughout the country, including a turn as Vice-Minister of Finance. From 2000-2002 Saidenov served as the chairman of Halyk Bank.
- In 2002 he returned to the national National Bank to again serve as deputy chairman, and was appointed as chairman in 2004.
