  • Strasburg was selected by Washington with the first pick in the 2009 Major League Baseball draft.
  • He won a World Series with the Nationals in 2019, when he was named the World Series Most Valuable Player (MVP). A talented but unpolished high school baseball player at West Hills High School, Strasburg played college baseball for the San Diego State Aztecs.
