Maksim Vasiljevic (Maxim; secular name Milan Vasiljevic; born 27 June 1968 in Foca, Yugoslavia) was enthroned as Bishop of the Diocese of Western America of the Serbian Orthodox Church on 30 July 2006.
Previously, he had occupied the throne of the Bishop of Hum, Vicar bishop in the Metropolitanate of Dabro-Bosna, in Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He used to lecture at Orthodox Theological Faculty in Foca (Srbinje), Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Also, Vasiljevic taught patrology at the University of Belgrade's School of Orthodox Theology until this year when he was removed.Vasiljevic was enthroned by Bishop Longin of the New Gracanica Metropolitanate, in the Cathedral Church of St.
Stefan the First-Crowned in Alhambra, California.
He also succeeded Bishop Longin, who previously served as the Administrator of the diocese.
Vasiljevic was elected to the see of the Serbian Orthodox Eparchy of Western America at the regular session of the Holy Assembly of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church, held sometime in May 2006.
