About Uroš Đurđević

  • Uroš Ðurdevic (Serbian Cyrillic: ???? ????????, pronounced [uro? d?ûrd?e?it?]; born 2 March 1994) is a Serbian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Spanish club Sporting Gijón. Following his promising displays at Rad and national youth teams, Ðurdevic attracted the attention of numerous clubs, eventually signing for Dutch side Vitesse in January 2014.
  • He however failed to make an impact at the GelreDome, receiving very limited playing time, before moving to Italian club Palermo in August 2015.
  • Shortly after scoring on his debut for the Sicilians, Ðurdevic suffered an ankle injury that took him out of action for three months.
  • He left the club after only a year and returned to his homeland to sign for Partizan in August 2016.At international level, Ðurdevic represented Serbia at the UEFA European Under-19 Championship on two occasions, in 2012 and 2013, helping them win the latter tournament.
  • He is also the all-time highest scorer for the Serbia U21s with 16 goals in 30 appearances.
