About Mathieu Garon
- Mathieu Carol Garon (born January 9, 1978) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender who most recently played for Avangard Omsk in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).
- Garon also played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Los Angeles Kings, Edmonton Oilers, Montreal Canadiens, Pittsburgh Penguins, Columbus Blue Jackets and Tampa Bay Lightning. He was drafted 44th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft, and was also a member of the 2009 Stanley Cup-wining Pittsburgh Penguins, serving as the backup to Marc-Andre Fleury.
