William Ernest "Erny" Pinckert (May 1, 1908 – August 30, 1977), was an American football halfback at Southern California for coach Howard Jones.
He played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Boston Braves/Redskins, who then moved to Washington, D.C.
A younger brother of astrologer Jeane Dixon, he and his nine siblings were the children of Richard Franz Pinckert, a native of Gräfenhainichen, Duchy of Anhalt, and his wife, Emma, both Roman Catholics.
