- He played at both centre and wing during his career.
- Allen started his career with Irish provincial side Ulster, before signing for Scottish side Edinburgh in 2015.
- However, after finishing with Edinburgh in 2017, Allen decided to retire from the sport at the age of 26 to focus on his family life.
