  • Kafeel Jahangir (born 22 May 1971) is a Pakistani born former English cricketer.
  • Jahangir batted right-handed and bowled right-arm fast-medium.
  • He was born in Karachi in 1971. Kafeel Jahangir attended Aldenham School between 1983-1989 and recorded the highest runs scored in a season, a record that remained for 25 years.
  • His record number of wickets still remain today.
  • In 1988 he was an integral member of the England U17 team, being the leading run scorer in a test and one day series against Sri Lanka U17.Jahangir made his debut for Hertfordshire County Cricket Club in the 1993 MCCA Knockout Trophy against Berkshire.
  • His debut for the county in the Minor Counties Championship came in the same season against Lincolnshire.
  • From 1993 to 1999, he represented the county in 7 MCCA Knockout Trophy matches and from 1993 to 1997, he represented the county in 11 Minor Counties Championship matches.
  • He was selected for the Combined Minor Counties Team in 1995.
  • He made his List A cricket debut for Hertfordshire against Gloucestershire in the 1993 NatWest Trophy and went on to play five List A matches for the county.
  • Jahangir also represented a combined Minor Counties team in a single match against Leicestershire in the 1995 Benson and Hedges Cup. After his cricket career, Kafeel Jahangir set up businesses in the IT/Retail and Property sector which he oversees today.
