- Lambert Jackson Woodburne (13 July 1939 – 5 July 2013) was Chief of the South African Navy from 1 July 1990 to 31 August 1992.
- He is one of only two people to have been awarded the Van Riebeeck Decoration, which he received for Special Forces operations in Tanzania.
