About Hiphei
- Shri Hiphei is an Indian politician from Mizoram. He was elected to the upper house of India's Parliament, the Rajya Sabha, for two terms, from 1990 to 1996 and from 1996 to 2002, as a member of the Indian National Congress.
- He served as the Speaker of Mizoram Legislative Assembly till 5 November 2018 but resigned from the post and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party few hours later.
