Alice Baker (28 July 1898 – 2 March 2006) was a British World War I service veteran.
She was the last known female British World War I veteran in the UK.
Her non-combat service was as a Leading Aircraftswoman in the Royal Flying Corps at the age of 18 as a 'doper' waterproofing aircraft wings.Gladys Powers was the last female veteran in the world who joined the Women Auxiliary Corps in 1916.
She learned how to shoot with guns and how to defend herself.
After the war, she became a nurse at Saint Andrew's hospital in Thorpe.
She married a police officer named Stanley.
They had a son, Leslie, who was a pilot during World War II.
He served in the RAF and was more precisely a bomber pilot.
She was invited for the 75th anniversary of the RAF and she was next to the Queen.
She died in her sleep at the age of 107 on 2 March 2006 at her home.
