- He was selected by the Panthers in the second round (32nd overall) of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.Hawryluk grew up in Roblin, Manitoba and was once featured on Hockey Day in Canada after becoming a "goal-scoring machine" in the Parkland Region of Manitoba.
