Joseph Gilman (5 May 1738 – 14 May 1806) was a pioneer settler in the Northwest Territory of the United States.
Prior to his immigration to the frontier, he was a state senator in New Hampshire, and member of the Committee of Safety.
President Washington appointed him to be one of three judges in the territory in 1796.
He served until the territory was dissolved in 1803.
