Alfred Bonnardot (1808-1884) was a French essayist, independent historian, and bibliophile.
His most notable work is a study on the architecture of medieval Paris, Etudes archeologiques sur les anciens plans de Paris des XVIe, XVIIe, et XVIIIe siecles (1851).
Bonnardot also wrote a comprehensive manual on the care and restoration of prints and old books, Essai sur l'art de restaurer les estampes et les livres (1846, 1858 2nd ed.).
