Nisa Azeezi (??? ?????) is a Ghazal and Qawwali singer from Kerala, India Nisa Azeezi hailing from an Aranadan language family rooted in Hindustani music tradition started learning music at the very age of four.
It was her father, MA Azeez who initiated her in to the Hindustani classical music Music zone.
Nisa accompanied her father for concerts conducted under Malappuram raag tharang.
It was around the age of eight she started singing.
She also got an opportunity to sing at Kalpathi Ratholsavam during the period.
She went on learning and practicing music and successfully passed out from Chembai Memorial Government Music College.
The first ever Muslim student who passed out from Chembai Memorial Government Music College has probably been Nisa Azeezi.
Since obtaining a Ganabhooshanam degree,which is the Carnatic music.
She has been teaching music at MES Muslim Educational Society Senior Secondary school, tirur.
Nisa as a singer explores Qawwali in the great Hindustani Music traditions.
She is still practising under Rafique Khan in Gwalior gharana.
