From New York City, he made his senior debut for the American national team in 2008, having earlier played for the national under-19 side at the 2006 Under-19 World Cup.
A right-handed wicket-keeper/batsman, Dodson has played regularly at international tournaments since making his debut, including at the 2013 and 2015 World Twenty20 Qualifiers.
