Josh Taylor (born 2 January 1991) is a Scottish professional boxer.
He is a unified light-welterweight champion, having held the IBF title since May 2019, and the WBA (Super) and Ring magazine titles since October 2019.
Taylor turned professional in 2015 after an amateur career taking in selection for the 2012 Olympics and winning the gold medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in the light welterweight division.
As of November 2019, Taylor is ranked as the world's best active light-welterweight by BoxRec and second by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board (TBRB).
He is also ranked as the world's tenth best active boxer, pound for pound, by the TBRB.
