About Matt Gotrel
- Matthew Anthony William Gotrel (born 1 March 1989) is a British rower.
- At the World Rowing Championships 2014 in Amsterdam he was a member of the gold medal winning eight and this was repeated in 2015 at Aiguebelette.
- He won a gold medal in the men's eight event at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
- Gotrel is a Tottenham Hotspur supporter.
- He worked for Rolls-Royce PLC for a year. Gotrel was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2017 New Year Honours for services to rowing.
