- Marcos dos Santos Assunção (born 25 July 1976) is a Brazilian former professional footballer.
- A central midfielder, he was renowned as a world-class free kick specialist.He is best known for his spell at Betis, having represented teams in four countries, including Roma in Italy. At international level, he represented Brazil on 11 occasions between 1998 and 2000, scoring a single goal; he was a member of the team that finished third at the 1998 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
