- Alja Robinson Crook (June 17, 1864 – May 31, 1930) was an American scientist and academic from Ohio.
- Crook attended Ohio Wesleyan University and received a Ph.D.
- in Europe in 1892.
- He was a professor of mineralogy and economic geology at Northwestern University from 1893 to 1906, when he was named Illinois State Geologist.
- As state geologist, he greatly expanded the state museum.
