- December 12, 1970 Lancaster, Ohio) was an American journalist, awarded the Pulitzer Prize and NBC 'Big Story' in 1953 for his reporting facts of an investigation which brought vindication and freedom to Louis Hoffner falsely convicted with murder.During his journalism career he served as feature writer and editor for many newspapers, including the Columbus Citizen, the New York Post, Lancaster Daily Eagle, the New York World-Telegram and the New York Herald Tribune.
