- Viorel Riceard Badea (born 21 June 1968, Craiova) is a Romanian politician, member of the Senate of Romania.Viorel Badea graduated from the University of Bucharest.
- He worked as the head of The Department for Romanians Abroad (1999–2000) and as an adviser for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Romania) (2000–2006).
- He has been a member of the Senate of Romania since 2008.
- In March 2010, Viorel Badea opened a Parliamentary Bureau in Chisinau.
- In 2015 he switched from the Democratic Liberal Party to the National Liberal Party.In the legislature 2008-2012, Viorel Riceard Badea was a member of the Friendship Parliamentary Groups with the Italian Republic, the Republic of Iraq, the Republic of Serbia, Albania and the Kingdom of Spain.
