- Ruth Alice Emma Frankenberg (17 September 1957 in Cardiff, Wales – 22 April 2007 in Bangalore, India) was a British–American sociologist and feminist, known for her pioneering work in the field of whiteness studies.Ruth Frankenberg was the daughter of Ronald Frankenberg (1929–2015), who was also an anthropologist and Alison Sherratt.
- Her partner Lata Mani is also an anthropologist.
