Sonia Isabelle Seneviratne (* 5 June 1974 in Lausanne) is a Swiss climate scientist who works at the Institute for Atmospheric and Climate Science at ETH Zurich.
She received the James B.
Macelwane Medal from the American Geophysical Union in 2013.
She was a co-author of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) October 8, 2018 Special Report on Global Warming of 1.5ºC.
Seneviratne holds a Ph.D.
in Atmospheric and Climate Science from ETH Zurich.
