- It's also in sync with his lengthy career as a scribe, which began and flourished as a prominent cricket reporter between 1991–2013, reporting for premier national and international newspapers, agencies, websites, radio stations and sports and news TV channels.
- In between all this, he took time out to edit the English edition of the world's largest circulated Hindi cricket magazine, Cricket Samrat, in 1999, and acted as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Naradonline, one of India's earliest news portals, in 2000, before the dot.com bubble went bust.
