About Melvin Yong
- Melvin Yong Yik Chye (simplified Chinese: ???; traditional Chinese: ???; pinyin: Yáng Yì Cái; born 19 February 1972) is a Singaporean politician and Member of the 13th Parliament of Singapore for Tanjong Pagar.
- He is a politician from Singapore’s main governing political party, the People’s Action Party (PAP) and an Assistant Secretary-General in the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC).
- Yong is also the NTUC's Director (Tripartism) and Director (Workplace Safety & Health), as well as the Executive Secretary of the National Transport Workers’ Union (NTWU) and the Executive Secretary of the United Workers of Electronics & Electrical Industries (UWEEI).
