David Frawley, born 1950, is an American Hindu teacher (acharya) and a Hindutva activist.He has written numerous books on topics spanning the Vedas, Hinduism, Yoga, Ayurveda and Vedic astrology.
Whilst rejected by academia as fringe sectarian scholarship, his works have been popular among the common masses.
In 2015 he was honored by the Government of India with the Padma Bhushan, the third-highest civilian award in India.
