- Born in Osaka prefecture, Matsuda graduated from the Toyama University of International Studies High School.
- She was a former Tricky Panders team and later affiliated with the Amer Sports Japan since April 2018.
- Matsuda was part of the national junior team that won the bronze medal at the 2013 Asian Junior Championships.
- Teamed-up with Akane Araki, they won the women's doubles title at the 2017 Russia Open.
