David Adetayo Olusoga (born January 1970) is a British Nigerian popular historian, writer, broadcaster, presenter and film-maker.
He is Professor of Public History at the University of Manchester.
He has presented historical documentaries on the BBC and contributed to The One Show and The Guardian.
He is an expert on military history, empire, race and slavery, and has been described as 'one of the UK’s foremost historians'.
