About Jean-Luc Moudenc
- Jean-Luc Moudenc (born 19 July 1960) is a French politician serving as Mayor of Toulouse since 2014, previously holding the office from 2004 to 2008.
- He was defeated for reelection in 2008 by Pierre Cohen of the Socialist Party, but in a rematch in 2014 defeated Cohen to retake the position.
- Moudenc is a member of The Republicans. Moudenc was born in Toulouse.
- He was educated at the Toulouse 1 University Capitole (1984) and worked as a journalist.
- He entered local politics shortly after graduation.
- Moudenc was elected by the municipal council after the elevation of his predecessor, Philippe Douste-Blazy, to Minister of Health; a short interim officeholder was appointed in the person of Françoise de Veyrinas.
