About Gabriel Brezoianu
- Gabriel Brezoianu (born 18 January 1977 in Bucharest) is a Romanian retired rugby union player. Having played first at Dinamo Bucuresti (1998/1999), then in Steaua Bucure?ti (1999/2000), he moved to Bègles-Bordeaux, in France, here he played from 2000/2001 to 2002/2003.
- After that, he went to represent US Dax (2003/2004-2005/2006), Racing Métro 92 Paris (2006/2007), Bordeaux Rugby Métropole and Tarbes Pyrénées Rugby, in 2008. Brezoianu played his first game for Romania, at 20 April 1996, in an 83-5 win to Belgium. He was present three times at the Rugby World Cup finals, in 1999, having three games played, 2003, with four games, and 2007, with three presences. Brezoianu counted 71 caps, with 28 tries scored and 1 conversion, 142 points in aggregate, by the end of the 2007 Rugby World Cup finals.
- Surprisingly, for such a prolific rugby player, Brezoianu never scored in any of his three World Cup presences.
