About Merlyn Phillips
- Merlyn Joseph "Bill" Phillips (25 May 1896 – 10 January 1978) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player from Richmond Hill, Ontario. Phillips played in approximately 303 games with the National Hockey League.
- He went on to play for the Montreal Maroons, the team whom he won a Stanley Cup with in the 1926 season.
- Following his time with the Maroons, he join the New York Americans.
