Akhlas Ahmed Akhlaq (born July 17, 1981 in Volgograd, USSR Died December 21, 2014 in Islamabad, Pakistan) was a Soviet/Russian citizen who, in the year 2005, was convicted by Pakistani authorities on the plot to kill the then president and military chief Pervez Musharraf.
All he, his family and lawyer have denied the charge.
Russian diplomats attached to the embassy in Islamabad have all claimed that he was denied counselor support or any contact with them.
