About William Wallace (rower)

  • William Lawrence Wallace (April 12, 1901 in Toronto, Ontario – July 20, 1967) was a Canadian rower who competed in the 1924 Summer Olympics.
  • Wallace's first athletic passion was rugby football and he played from 1921 through 1923 with the Toronto Argonauts, winning the 9th Grey Cup with them in 1921.
  • In 1924 he won the silver medal as crew member of the Canadian boat in the eights event.
