About Pintea the Brave

  • Grigore Pintea, aka Pintea The Brave (born February 25, 1670, Magoaja, Solnoc-Dabâca County, of the Austrian Empire, current day Romania — died August 14, 1703), was a famous heroic haiduc (vigilantee) stemming from Magoaja, Lapu? Country. Born in 1670 as a descendant of petty Romanian nobility from Magoaja in the former Solnoc-Dabâca county.
  • According to legends, ballads, and movies, he antagonizes regional nobles and decides to fight against social injustice.
