Sergey Kobozev (1964–1995) was a Russian boxer, one of only two fighters able to defeat John Ruiz, in a 1993 bout, before Ruiz won his first title. Kobozev was the Cruiserweight Champion of the Soviet Union.
After moving to the United States, he continued his undefeated career and became the International Boxing Federation Cruiserweight Champion in July 1994.
He lost his first fight, in a split decision, in a bout for the WBC Cruiserweight title in October 1995. Kobozev was murdered by Russian mafia in November 1995.
