- He is the hitting coach of the St.
- Louis Cardinals of Major League Baseball. Albert attended Butler University, where he played college baseball for the Butler Bulldogs.
- After graduating in 2003, he signed with the Washington Wild Things of the Frontier League, an independent baseball league.Albert served as a hitting coach in Minor League Baseball for the St.
- Louis Cardinals organization for five years, and then joined the Astros as their minor league hitting coordinator, a job he held for four years.
- After the 2017 season, the Astros promoted Albert to assistant hitting coach for the major league team, succeeding Alonzo Powell.
