Gary Robert Rossington (born December 4, 1951) is an American musician, best known as a founder of southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd, in which he plays lead and rhythm guitar. In 2009, he became the last original member still in the band and in 2019, the last one that is still alive. He was also a founding member of the Rossington Collins Band, along with former bandmate Allen Collins.
