Monica Felton (1906 – March 1970) was a British writer, town planner, feminist and social activist, a member of the Labour Party.Felton was brought up in a staunch Primitive Methodists household.
She studied at the University of Southampton and was later awarded a PhD at the London School of Economics; she was later appointed to its board of governors.
In 1937 Felton was elected to the London County Council as a Labour Party councillor representing St Pancras South West, holding the seat until 1946.From 1947 to 1951, she served as the first Chairman of the Corporation for the construction of the new town of Stevenage.
