Marsha Blackburn (née Wedgeworth; born June 6, 1952) is an American politician and businesswoman serving as the junior United States Senator from Tennessee.
A member of the Republican Party, Blackburn previously served the U.S.
House for Tennessee's 7th congressional district from 2003 to 2019.
She was also a State Senator from 1999 to 2003.
On November 6, 2018, she became the first woman to be elected to the U.S.
Senate from Tennessee, defeating Democratic former Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen.
