- General Aziz Al-Yasiri was the Secretary General of the Iraqi Democratic Current.
- He was born on July 1, 1945 in Hilla, Babylon Province, Iraq into the Al-Yasiri tribe.
- Al-Yasiri, Al-Yasar, al-Yasseri, or Al-Yasser (depending on the English spelling) is a noble family that is scattered throughout Central and Southern Iraq.
