William Brendan Gaughan (born July 10, 1975) is an American professional stock car racing driver.
He currently competes part-time in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No.
62 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Beard Motorsports.
Gaughan is the grandson of Vegas gaming pioneer Jackie Gaughan and son of Michael Gaughan, a hotel and casino magnate.
Gaughan began his career racing in off-road racing and he rose up through the ranks from pickup trucks to the professional two-wheel-drive Trophy Truck class.
In the late 1990s, he switched to pavement racing in a stock car.
This led to a career in NASCAR racing.
He began in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (now NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series), which was followed by the Busch Series (now Xfinity Series) and Cup Series during the 2000s.
