Cooper Harold Langford III (October 14, 1934 – March 11, 2018) was an American-born Canadian chemist. He was born to the philosopher Cooper Harold Langford and his first wife in Ann Arbor, Michigan on October 14, 1934.
The younger Langford attended Harvard University and Northwestern University before teaching at Amherst College.
After leaving Amherst, Langford taught at Carleton University, Concordia University and University of Calgary.
He was granted fellowship of the Royal Society of Canada in 1992.
Cooper died of pancreatic cancer on March 11, 2018, while seeking treatment at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital in Vernon, British Columbia.
