Chris Pritchard (born 2 January 1983) is a professional cyclist.
Born in Sheffield, England, who has competed on the track and the road.
Pritchard took up competitive cycling at the age of 25 after previously racing motorcycles.
He moved to the Cycle Premier Race Team in 2012 after a season blighted with injury for Endura Racing in 2011.
He subsequently joined the Glasgow Life Track Cycling Team in September 2013.
Pritchard represented Scotland at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, where he attracted attention for proposing to his girlfriend immediately after finishing his final race in the keirin competition.
He qualifies to compete for Scotland through his mother, a native of Linwood, Renfrewshire.
Since retiring from cycling Pritchard has attempted his hand at online gaming mainly competing in player-unknown tournaments, his highest finish in a game so far is 57th despite his ‘crawl to victory’ tactics, he continues to stream his attempts.
In December 2018, Chris decided to race up the Alpe d'zwift after being put under pressure by members of TeamCyclingHub.
Allegedly, this was his hardest day on a bike.
He joined the virtual cycling team TeamCyclingHub in January 2019 after getting memed by their riders - most prominently Niels Heldens.
He has also joined the social media company/media agency/talent development agency CyclingHub.
