- Christopher Salmon is a Conservative politician, who served as Dyfed-Powys Police and Crime Commissioner, the largest police area in England and Wales, from November 2012 until May 2016.
- He was the first person to hold the post and was elected on 15 November 2012.He stood for re-election to the post of Dyfed-Powys Police Commissioner at the elections held on Thursday 5 May 2016.
- However, he was defeated by Dafydd Llywelyn of Plaid Cymru.
