About Daniel E. Atkins
- Daniel E.
- Atkins III is the W.
- K.
- Kellogg Professor of Community Informatics at University of Michigan. He is also a Professor of Information at the University of Michigan School of Information and a Professor of both Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in the College of Engineering.
- From June 2006 to June 2008, he was the inaugural Director of the Office of Cyberinfrastructure at the U.S.
- National Science Foundation.
- From July 2008 to June 2012 he was Associate Vice President for Research Cyberinfrastructure and Chairman of the U of Michigan Information Technology Governance Council.
- Atkins was elected to the National Academy of Engineering in 2014.
