- David Lewis Smith (born May 18, 1947) is a former American football wide receiver in the National Football League.
- He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the eighth round of the 1970 NFL Draft.
- He played college football and basketball at Indiana (PA) and Waynesburg. Smith is known for a fumble in a Monday Night Football game against the Kansas City Chiefs while trying to score a touchdown, and led the Steelers in touchdown receptions in 1971.
