- Doty (born April 12, 1973) is an American double murderer currently on death row for the April 20, 1996 Plant City, Florida murder of Harvey Horne II and the May 17, 2011 murder of fellow inmate Xavier Rodriguez. Doty was sentenced to death after he pleaded guilty to killing a fellow inmate he stabbed and strangled to death while he was serving a life sentence for the fatal shooting of a night watchman at a Plant City manufacturing plant during a drug robbery in 1996.
