- She is well known for a number of roles in several contemporary Uzbek films.
- Kubayeva is especially well known for her roles in the films Kelgindi kelin (Stranger Bride), Telba (Mad), and Hijron (Longing).
- Between 2008 and 2010 Kubayeva temporarily postponed her acting career because of family issues.
- Kubayeva returned to acting after her husband's untimely death.
