Dinanath Tiwari (born 1951) is an Indian politician, advocate and lawyer.
He is the President of the South Mumbai district of the Indian Bharatiya Janata party, or BJP.
He began his career in the youth wing of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, a nationalist Indian political party.
He is currently running for elections in Mumbai.He was active in the Youth Wing of BJS and was a student of Patuck Technical High School at Vakola Bridge.
He was subsequently a student of Kirti College, Dadar, where Dinanath Tiwari took keen interest in student politics and where he participated in community service.
During the mid 70s he opposed The Emergency, which imposed severe restrictions on the fundamental rights of India.
He joined the movement of Shri.
Jaiprakash Narayan during the emergency and was a youth leader of the Janata Yuva Morcha.
During this time he was influenced by Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a later prime minister of India.
Tiwari was among the founding members of the BJS' successor, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
While still remaining active in politics, Dinanath Tiwari chose to practice as a lawyer in the Mumbai High Court.
He has fought many legal cases, although some accuse him of being an "in-house" lawyer for the BJS party.
He currently is active in Santacruz, Mumbai and Kurla, Mumbai.
